Profit Target: Your Performance Milestone
The Profit Target is the required amount of realized gain (closed positions) you must achieve on your assigned account to complete an evaluation phase.
This rule confirms your ability to generate consistent market profit while keeping your strategy disciplined. Unlike many traditional environments, there is no countdown pressure. You can wait for high-probability setups and execute with patience.
Key Points
- Realized Gains Only: Only closed positions count toward the Profit Target. Floating profit (unrealized P/L) does not count until the trade is closed.
- No Time Pressure: There is no fixed time limit to reach the target, allowing you to focus on quality execution over rushed decisions.
- Phase Finalization: To move to the next phase or a Funded Account, all open positions must be closed after the target is reached.
Example
Imagine you are trading a $100,000 Challenge with a 10% Profit Target.
- Your Required Goal: Reach a closed balance of $110,000.
- Midway Situation: Your balance is $109,500, and an open trade shows +$1,000 floating profit.
- Status: Target not reached yet, because floating profit is not counted.
- Final Step: Once that position is closed and your balance becomes $110,500, the target is officially achieved.
Summary
The Profit Target is built to reward disciplined execution, not lucky timing. Focus on closing quality trades, protect your risk, and let consistency carry you through each phase.
